school is over and still no rest :(

I will start with the good news. The semester is over. I'm so glad it is over now we can gear up for Christmas. We are super excited for Christmas. We will be going to Washington for Christmas and for the first time we are flying. It will be so nice to not have to do the 19 hour drive to Roeun's parents. I'm a little nervous taking Atticus on the airplane. but in the end a 2 hour flight beats the driving.
Now for the bad news. This morning Atticus came down with the stomach flu. I feel so bad for the little guy. He has not been able to keep anything down. Because of this I have had to change my clothes 4 times today and Roeun a few as well. I just gave him a suppository and a bottle of pedialyte. We will see how he handles it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The only posative thing out of this is that he will sit on my lap (or Roeun's) for hours just cuddling. He normally is very active and all over the house making a mess. Nedless to say I'm enjoying the quiet and cuddle time with my baby boy.

Look Who's walking!!!

So Atticus started to Walk a few days ago. It was about 7 in the morning and I was sitting on the couch. Roeun was laying on the floor on the other side of the room. well I set Atticus down on the floor and he walked across the living room to his daddy. I was amazed it was about 10 feet that he walked. He has not walked that far since then but he will take 5 to 6 steps before he will sit down. I'm excited that he is walking but it makes me a little sad that he is growing up so fast. and I'm not entirely excited about him being all over the house even more than he was before.

2 Years!!!

I can't believe it has been 2 years. well almost. it will be two years in a few hours. We were married November 24th, at 9:15 am in the bountiful temple. It seems like it was just yesterday yet I can't remember life without Roeun. We have gone through so much together. we have had trials and joys. during the last two years we have been blessed with our wonderful son Atticus.

He has brought so much joy to our lives. He is a wild busy baby. He is always happy, and he brings out the best in both of us. Roeun is such a good father to Atticus. He couldn't be a better role model. Atticus loves his dad so much and would spend all day playing with Roeun if he could.
Today he did the cutest thing ever. Roeun had gone into the bathroom to take a shower before church. Atticus crawled after him a fast as he could. I followed to get Atticus so Roeun could take a shower. I grabbed him just as he was going into the bathroom. He looked at Roeun flailing his arms he screamed Da Da! It was so sweet. He really loves his dad. We have also had so many fun adventures together. We have gone backpacking, hiking, climbing, biking, camping, and exploring together.
I wouldn't change any of it for the world. Last weekend we hiked Angels Landing with some friends from Washington. It was so much fun. We brought Atticus in his backpack. I don't have any pictures of the day yet. So I posted an old picture. This was last March I think. So in the end I just want to thank Roeun for giving me the best years of my life. You are my best friend. My one true love. We are perfect for each other in every way. You have given my the most wonderful and perfect son.
I can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with you. I look forward to many more adventures together. I love you Roeun!!
Happy Anniversary.

Mountain Bike Ride

Last Week we went for a drive up to Kolob Reservoir and decided to bring our bikes. We rode around the lake. It was so nice. I love the mountain. Atticus had a blast riding in his trailer until he started to get hungry. We had a blast and the trees were so pretty just starting to change.

Just recently Atticus has started to pull himself up. Over the past week he has been working on it and was able to pull himself up a few times. However, today he has perfected it. He would crawl all over the house and pull himself up on everything. It was so cute he even started to side step along the couch. Now all he wants to do is stand up. He thinks he is to big now to sit down. He needs to stand all the time. I can't believe how much he is growing up. He is getting so big. Tonight we are putting him in his own room for the first time. I think it might be harder on us than him. Hopefully all will go well.

Nap Time

I have decided to write something since I have not written in quite some time. School has started and once again life seems back to normal. While summer was great it is kind of nice for a change in pace. with that comes Atticus' endless amounts of energy. Some days the boy drives me crazy. He loves his toys and playing so much he just would rather play than take naps. I don't know about other kids but he refused to nap. most days he will take about two short naps. and by short I mean about 10 min. So on those rare occasions when he takes a nap longer than 20 minuets I am in heaven.
Yesterday Roeun and I went to St. George and I got a new pair of running shoes. can I just say I am so excited for these shoes. I have made a goal to start running again. It will be nice to get out and just run again. I'm hoping to do some 5k's and a triathlon eventually.
I put these pictures of Atticus and some of his cousins. He really loved them and wanted to play with them even though he couldn't crawl when we were in washington.
