I Love to See the Temple

So the past 2 days I was a slacker and didn't post about anything. Hopefully today I can make up for that. Today I'm so thankful for the temple. Last night Roeun and I went to the St. George Temple and were able to be there when Teal and Sky received their endowments. Teal is getting married in two weeks and sky is getting ready to leave on his mission. I'm so proud of them both for making choices that have allowed them to go to the temple. The temple is such a blessing in my life. I'm so greatful Roeun and I were able to be married in the temple and sealed for time and all eternity.  Whenever I go to the temple I feel such wonderful peace. Last night was no exception. When it comes time to leave I always feel a little sad. it is similar to the feelings I get when it is time to go home after visiting family back in Washington. I Love the Temple

Things that make you laugh. :)

I'm grateful for things that make you laugh. Specifically, my brother Sky is going to be receiving his endowments this Friday and when the letter from the temple arrived earlier this week they miss spelled his name instead of writing Sky Moran McMahon they wrote.................................................................................................... Sky Moron McMahon. needless to say he has been teased all week about it.
Atticus also makes me laugh every day. Today I made him an Indian headband with feathers on the back. He loved it and ran around the house making Indian noises for most of the day, then he flushed it down the toilet.

Giving Thanks

So I have made a goal to make one post a day until Thanksgiving Day telling about something I'm thankful for.
So today I am thankful for CHEESE. Silly I know, but when Atticus is being picky abut eating or just won't eat, without fail I can always get him to eat cheese. With cheese at least I know he is getting something to eat and not starving. Some of our favorites are pepper-jack, and our all time favorite is vintage white extra sharp cheddar cheese (Tillamook

So................................................We are thankful for cheese :)

The shower is on the 16th. their wedding is on the 27th and their reception will be the 28th.
Sky received his mission call. we are all so excited for him. He is going to the. . . . .  Milan, Italy Mission. He won't be leaving for a few months. He has been learning Italian he is using Rosetta stone.
Atticus was a lion for Halloween. he was the cutest little lion i have ever seen. He just loved Halloween and learned he loves candy even more.

Atticus is growing up

Atticus has been so funny and learning so many new things this past week. On Sunday he has started to say baby. Tonight while at my parents he found a doll and started saying baby over and over again. Our dog Marley he used to call Mar but on Saturday he started to call Marley Marnew. Every time he says Marnew he will put his head back and howl like a dog. I seriously laugh every time. During September we took Atti to the Hogle Zoo. He loved it! one of his favorite animals was the baby elephant. he has even been trying to make elephant noises lately. He is our little munchkin and we love him so much.  This picture was taken on the carousel at the zoo. He loved it so much we let him ride it twice.

Vroom! Vroom! Vroom!

The last couple of days Atticus has been sick. He has a stuffy nose and won't sleep very good at night. I hate flu season.
On a happier note, lately in the morning when I go into Atticus room to get him out of his crib he will show me in a very excited way the cars and truck on his blanket and sheets. He then starts to makes car noises. Vroom Vroom Vroom. It is seriously so cute and funny.

This is how i found Atti one day in his room. he had been trying to crawl into his stroller.

Cargo Basket

Today Roeun and I decided to build a cargo basket that attaches to our roof rack. We have been wanting one for quite some time but they are expensive. So we went to Home Depot and bought some stuff. With our amazing crafty abilities we were able to make one for a lot less. It looks great and we love it. If we were to have purchased one about the same size the cheapest would have been about $400. The grand total we paid was $26.50 this includes tax. Now I can't wait to actually use it.

Almost 1

I know I'm terrible. It has been so long since my last post. so here is just a quick update. Christmas was great we went to Washington to spend the holiday with Roeun's family. School is going well next semester I will graduate with a degree in Biology and one in History. I'm so excited and can't wait. Now for the big news. Atticus is almost a year old. I honestly can't believe how old he is. It seems like a couple of months ago that I was still pregnant. He has turned into a wonderful toddler. He now runs around the house, climbs up onto everything, pulls books, off shelves, pans out of cupboards (and they have child safety locks), and throws tantums. But when he will give me a kiss it just melts my heart. I love being a mother.
