Vroom! Vroom! Vroom!

The last couple of days Atticus has been sick. He has a stuffy nose and won't sleep very good at night. I hate flu season.
On a happier note, lately in the morning when I go into Atticus room to get him out of his crib he will show me in a very excited way the cars and truck on his blanket and sheets. He then starts to makes car noises. Vroom Vroom Vroom. It is seriously so cute and funny.

This is how i found Atti one day in his room. he had been trying to crawl into his stroller.

Cargo Basket

Today Roeun and I decided to build a cargo basket that attaches to our roof rack. We have been wanting one for quite some time but they are expensive. So we went to Home Depot and bought some stuff. With our amazing crafty abilities we were able to make one for a lot less. It looks great and we love it. If we were to have purchased one about the same size the cheapest would have been about $400. The grand total we paid was $26.50 this includes tax. Now I can't wait to actually use it.

Almost 1

I know I'm terrible. It has been so long since my last post. so here is just a quick update. Christmas was great we went to Washington to spend the holiday with Roeun's family. School is going well next semester I will graduate with a degree in Biology and one in History. I'm so excited and can't wait. Now for the big news. Atticus is almost a year old. I honestly can't believe how old he is. It seems like a couple of months ago that I was still pregnant. He has turned into a wonderful toddler. He now runs around the house, climbs up onto everything, pulls books, off shelves, pans out of cupboards (and they have child safety locks), and throws tantums. But when he will give me a kiss it just melts my heart. I love being a mother.

school is over and still no rest :(

I will start with the good news. The semester is over. I'm so glad it is over now we can gear up for Christmas. We are super excited for Christmas. We will be going to Washington for Christmas and for the first time we are flying. It will be so nice to not have to do the 19 hour drive to Roeun's parents. I'm a little nervous taking Atticus on the airplane. but in the end a 2 hour flight beats the driving.
Now for the bad news. This morning Atticus came down with the stomach flu. I feel so bad for the little guy. He has not been able to keep anything down. Because of this I have had to change my clothes 4 times today and Roeun a few as well. I just gave him a suppository and a bottle of pedialyte. We will see how he handles it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The only posative thing out of this is that he will sit on my lap (or Roeun's) for hours just cuddling. He normally is very active and all over the house making a mess. Nedless to say I'm enjoying the quiet and cuddle time with my baby boy.

Look Who's walking!!!

So Atticus started to Walk a few days ago. It was about 7 in the morning and I was sitting on the couch. Roeun was laying on the floor on the other side of the room. well I set Atticus down on the floor and he walked across the living room to his daddy. I was amazed it was about 10 feet that he walked. He has not walked that far since then but he will take 5 to 6 steps before he will sit down. I'm excited that he is walking but it makes me a little sad that he is growing up so fast. and I'm not entirely excited about him being all over the house even more than he was before.

2 Years!!!

I can't believe it has been 2 years. well almost. it will be two years in a few hours. We were married November 24th, at 9:15 am in the bountiful temple. It seems like it was just yesterday yet I can't remember life without Roeun. We have gone through so much together. we have had trials and joys. during the last two years we have been blessed with our wonderful son Atticus.

He has brought so much joy to our lives. He is a wild busy baby. He is always happy, and he brings out the best in both of us. Roeun is such a good father to Atticus. He couldn't be a better role model. Atticus loves his dad so much and would spend all day playing with Roeun if he could.
Today he did the cutest thing ever. Roeun had gone into the bathroom to take a shower before church. Atticus crawled after him a fast as he could. I followed to get Atticus so Roeun could take a shower. I grabbed him just as he was going into the bathroom. He looked at Roeun flailing his arms he screamed Da Da! It was so sweet. He really loves his dad. We have also had so many fun adventures together. We have gone backpacking, hiking, climbing, biking, camping, and exploring together.
I wouldn't change any of it for the world. Last weekend we hiked Angels Landing with some friends from Washington. It was so much fun. We brought Atticus in his backpack. I don't have any pictures of the day yet. So I posted an old picture. This was last March I think. So in the end I just want to thank Roeun for giving me the best years of my life. You are my best friend. My one true love. We are perfect for each other in every way. You have given my the most wonderful and perfect son.
I can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with you. I look forward to many more adventures together. I love you Roeun!!
Happy Anniversary.
